Usabilla Unites Teams with Office Expansion on Rokin
Following a few months of construction and after securing the lower floors of their Rokin office, the Usabilla headquarters grew fully established at the end of August in its centrally-located space just off Dam Square.
With all the Amsterdam teams – Customer Success & Sales, Product & Development, Design & Marketing, Finance, Security, HR & Office staff – officially reunited, Usabilla is set to take the company to new heights while working under the same bright, transparent roof.
Usabilla in Amsterdam
In the beating heart of Amsterdam, the new Usabilla office is set in a to-die-for location. Given the growth of the Amsterdam-based team, which now stands at 85 people (120 people worldwide) the new space was much needed.
Usabilla operates across the globe with offices also in London, Sydney, New York and Berlin. The expansion is a direct result of Usabilla’s growth strategy and reflects the company’s ambition for even greater strides in the future.
As the Usabilla model is one of continuously taking feedback into account, both from clients and from employees, the design of the new office floor especially reflects Usabilla’s culture of openness and close collaboration. With everyone together in one space, coordination across teams will be stronger than ever. Indeed, the office offers plenty of fluidity in terms of working spaces, with places where staff can meet in small groups or one-on-one rather than in larger, impersonal boardrooms.
Certain rooms are even dedicated to relaxing and feature a pool table, a Mario Kart area, and even a space dedicated to yoga and stretching during the day. After lunch, meditation sessions are organized daily in the library. For those daring a run across the canals during lunchtime, the shower is there to get you in shape for when it’s time to get back to business.
With multiple terraces as well and an entire office made of glass (even the roof), it’s hard to decide which feature is our favorite. The stunning views overlooking Amsterdam make the terraces irresistible, especially after office hours. A small group has even grown the habit of drilling their fitness routine out there.
Now with the construction complete, the Usabilla teams can collaborate in a new space entirely designed with their interests at heart. The Product & Development teams now occupy one floor, together with supporting departments such as HR and Finance. The Marketing, Customer Success and Business Development teams occupy the top two floors.
After the in-house opening which included a ribbon cutting ceremony, get-to-know-you games and team relays, the day closed with a Champions Quiz around Usabilla trivia. Welcome packages and gifts were handed out to welcome everyone to the new office space. The offices in New York, Sydney, London and Berlin shared their enthusiasm in a pre-recorded video.
