Fantastically Funny 404 Pages

on / by Robyn Collinge

The joyous place that is the World Wide Web has come a long way over the past few years. We’re continuously seeing innovation in both the capabilities and design features of websites across multiple platforms, browsers, and devices.

However, this doesn’t mean that things can’t go wrong. Every now and again a user can take a wrong turn and stumble across a broken link, only to be met with the classic white screen of a HTTP 404 Not Found page. But, thankfully, more and more brands are taking it upon themselves to produce fantastically witty and aesthetically gratifying custom 404 pages; softening the blow of a potentially frustrating user interaction.

And, you guessed it, we’d like to share our favourite ones with you now.

I’m wondering if any of these pages is actually useful to a person who is looking for content – potentially coming from a totally different website, potentially not knowing what “404” or “HTML” means at all. It’s very likely that these people will be even more frustrated and more confused, no matter how funny these 404 pages are.
