2.    Content is not fresh

If it looks like your website has not been updated in months or years, then visitors may question whether or not the information is correct or up to date. Broken links, out of date announcements and images that don’t load could be warning signs to your visitors that your website is not trust-worthy.

3.    It takes too long to load

79% of website visitors who have trouble with a web page loading or working properly say they won’t return to a site to buy again and 44% of them would tell a friend if they had a poor experience on a website. 6.    There is no contact information or it is hard to find

Don’t forget the basics of your website and make it easy for your customers to contact you. Your customer could be on the go and quickly looking for your hours of operation, a phone number or directions to your location so don’t miss out on the opportunity! Make it easy to contact you. Providing contact information can strengthen trust for potential customers.



7.    There is no call to action

Sometimes, you need to tell your clients what you would like them to do or point them in the right direction. This is how you can take someone from browsing and convert them into a paying customer. Think about one action you would like someone to take on your website. Do you want them to purchase or contact you or provide their email address? Whatever it is, add a call to action so they are more likely to take action.

8.    No social proof

Social proof is one of the most powerful marketing tactics today. It is more powerful to have a review or testimonial from clients than to promote yourself. Testimonials and other forms of social proof give your business more credibility. If you don’t have any reviews, it’s time to start asking for them! Add a review page on your website or interview some of your past clients and share their experiences.
